What is your favorite example of architecture and why?
For me, the Water Cube is a strong example of what architecture can achieve. It is well known for its innovative use of ethyl tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) for the building envelope, its inspiration from natural soap-bubble geometry to improve structural efficiency, and for highlighting how international architects and engineers successfully collaborated across differences. This project demonstrates an approach architects can learn from by embracing innovative materials, nature-inspired problem solving, and a clear, open framework for collaboration.

My favorite place to travel:
There is one location that holds a special place in my heart: Spain. It became a place where I tried so many things for the first time, and it gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone. I had the opportunity to study abroad there, a place I never thought I would visit on my own. I explored cities like Segovia, Madrid, and Barcelona, where I saw the Roman Aqueduct and the Sagrada Familia, and even made new friendships that we still maintain today. In Madrid, there were many restaurants, but surprisingly, one of my favorites was eating Sisig, a Filipino dish. Spain was also where I experienced going to clubs for the first time.

When I’m not designing architecture, you can find me…
At a shore or pier fishing with my dad. I love fishing not only because of the exhilarating feeling of catching a fish but the quality time I can spend with my dad and sometimes my little brother where we just talk about random things.

Who inspires you?
My dad has been a big inspiration to me my whole life as everyone always depends on him.

What gives you joy?
Playing RPG games to experience interesting storytelling, open world exploration, and fun challenging boss fights. It’s a nice way to step away from reality for a little bit.

If I hadn’t gone into architecture, I might have been…
An animator or Manga artist

My favorite music:
My favorite music is pop and rap because I really like listening to the beat and then seeing reactions to understand the lyrics later. I find it interesting that the lyrics in the rap on the surface may look like random rhymes, but there are other meanings or references behind them.
