A little-known fact about me:
I worked at a hardware store throughout high school—shoutout to Bender Lumber!

The last good book I read:
The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp, who is a famous choreographer. She shares advice on how to develop, inspire, and maintain creativity throughout life.

Favorite place in Boston:
The McKim Courtyard at the Boston Public Library. It feels very peaceful and looks like a Roman courtyard.

When I’m not designing architecture, you can find me…
driving my two daughters around to their activities! I also love running, hiking, practicing yoga, and baking.

Favorite quote:
“Beauty matters. Spaces around us that are designed with beauty say that we matter as individuals.” – Michael Murphy (MASS Design Group). I’ve also always loved the quote, “How can one forget joy? I believe that a work of art reaches perfection when it conveys silent joy and serenity.” – Luis Barragán

What is the most valuable advice you ever received?
The best life advice I’ve heard is, “Ego is not your amigo.” For advice related to architecture, a former professor advised us to let one element of our design project shine like the “feather in your cap” because several building components should not compete for attention.

Childhood dream job:
In elementary school, I wanted to be an author and illustrator. Every job I dreamed of growing up involved art or creativity.
