11-15 Frederick Douglass Avenue is a 20K+ SF historic restoration project of a 1930’s era commercial building located in historic downtown Brockton, MA and characterized by elements of the Art Deco style and comprised of six commercial storefront bays flanking a central entrance.
The design of the envelope includes reintroducing retail-level wood and glass storefront bays, renovation to the stone walls of the façade and arched cast stone entrance surround, and cornice detail. Renovation to interior elements include mosaic tile floor, marble wainscoting and central staircase with an ornamental iron railing, arched doorways, and pyramid skylights. The interior tenant fit-up scope of work includes extensive programming and space planning studies for multiple non-profit business incubator tenants, including a public marketplace, café, STEM lab, makerspace, performance space, and after school programs.
